Boy, I like me some DIY. With CF cards still growing in size, and shrinking in cost this makes pretty good sense. CF cards use less juice than a harddrive, take more of a beating, and come in sizes of up to 16 GB. If you’ve got an old iPod-mini lying around why not convert it to compact flash?
