I’ve got seven sticks of RAM, all pass memtest86 except for one. The only reason one didn’t pass is because it never showed up in the first place; clearly bad RAM. While updating a Linux box I’m getting errors and exceptions thrown left and right. The first sign of errors occured after swapping out RAM.
I’ve ruled out harddrive malfunctions and now I’m down to either bad RAM or a bad slot on the motherboard.
