Mark Cox, director of Red Hat’s security response team has been tracking how the Red Hat Security Response Team first hears about a vulnerability. From Linux.com, other interesting stats include a “In the last year, we managed a 98% response within one business day,” for answering user questions and concerns, and of the vulnerabilities they knewn about in advance, the median notice before public was just seven days.
