Yes, that was a Cool Hand Luke reference.
I run a small computer repair business and it’s just occurred to me. Most of the Virus/ Spyware problems, I see, could be cured with just three, if not two, of the free tools I use. Did I already mention that they’re free?
So get em’ now while they’re hot!
For an anti-virus program I recommend AVG by grisoft. AVG is light weight so it’s great for older systems and performs well.
Spyware search and removal is performed by two separate utilities. The first, called Spybot Search and Destroy is found here. The second, Adaware by Lavasoft is found here.
Of course, I would be remiss in mentioning that Microsoft has it’s own Anti-spyware program, but I’m not going to help you find that. From what I’ve heard it works well, but I have no personal experience.
